STEP 4: Study…again!
This is going to sound crazy, but….START STUDYING! Here’s the thing, the higher your rating, the more versatile you will be as a judge. The more versatile you are, the more opportunity you have to be assigned. Because we live in a small state, most meets include a combinations of many levels. For example, there may be a meet with 200 athletes, levels 4-10 and only 2 of those athletes are level 10’s. The meet would automatically require a level 10-rated judge to officiate. Please don’t worry, you WILL get assigned, but it is to your benefit to “test up” as soon as possible. You can view the master testing schedule here.
